After successfully organizing a memorable party aboard a cruise ship known as Emmanuel 3 during the festive season, Fabit Ltd is back with a titanic summer plot. The Gisenyi-based entertainment company is set to throw a bigger cruise party on 21st July, this year. The upcoming party will be staged on multiple floors of a brand new vessel namely Emmanuel 4. This sailing bash will also serve as an official launch of the new liner which is yet to be unveiled.
The first edition of the Summer Cruise Party will give you and your friends a rare opportunity to party while cruising from Rubavu to Karongi and back to Rubavu. The 7-hour swing between two popular resort towns will be followed by an after party at Kivu Serena Hotel. Summer can’t get better than this.
The bigger and super lavish Emmanuel 4 can ferry 1,500 passengers comfortably, a huge upgrade from Emmanuel 3 that accommodates 400 people. The latest addition to Emmanuel’s fleet comes with luxurious amenities to cater for the needs of extravagant tourists.
Introducing the annual Summer Cruise Party is a positive step towards diversification of tourism activities in the country. Numerous tourists are expected to visit Rwanda during the summer.
Melissa Bradley, founder of Indagare Travel thinks most tourists come to Rwanda to see gorillas but it is the resilient spirit of the people and the beauty of the landscapes that make them vow to return. Organizers of the Summer Cruise Party are also targeting foreign tourists eager to rub shoulders with locals who unleash a good dose of optimism and inspiration.
After returning to Rubavu, the group will converge at Serena Hotel and pick up where they left off. Accommodation options are available depending on your budget. Shuttle transfers from Kigali will be arranged too.
This experience will be enjoyed at a modest fee of RWF 20,000 or USD 25. Transport facilitation will be offered to those who will come from Kigali. A round trip will cost RWF 5,000 only.
Fabrice Bitega, Managing Director of Fabit Ltd is confident the annual voyage will boost tourism along the Kivu Belt and restore Gisenyi’s position as the entertainment destination of choice. Gisenyi is located on the shore of the north-eastern corner of Lake Kivu. Goma, the capital of DRC’s North Kivu Province is found on flat volcanic plains in the shadow of Mount Nyiragongo across the border.
Plushy lounges, balcony-laden layouts and an open-air rooftop deck combined with the breathtaking view of the lake and its surrounding hills can sum up this experience. Factor in the fanfare associated with the party itself and the whole plan sounds like a fantasy. By purchasing a ticket you will be paying for a lifetime of memories.
